Senior Chemist

Lacey LaBee joined the ECCI Air Team in February of 2023.   Before joining ECCI, she was deeply immersed in computational chemistry research and pursued a summer job opportunity at the University of South Dakota. There, she collaborated with faculty and graduate students on investigating metal-metal bonding in Tungsten complexes, aiming to enhance computational method efficiency. In line with this, she also crafted an NSF grant proposal focusing on leveraging computational methods to advance pharmaceutical applications in disease treatment. This journey not only expanded her research skills and background, but also enriched her understanding of professional development. She has presented research at American Chemical Society conferences at both regional and national levels and was even published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry. Her extensive background in chemistry has proven to be invaluable to her team and her clients.

In her time here at ECCI, her focus has been working on complex air permitting and compliance projects for industries across the state.  In her free time, Lacey enjoys reading, practicing Krav Maga, baking and hanging out with her dog, Charlie. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas and is currently pursuing her master's in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University.
