Joshua Perry, P.e.
Structural Engineer
Mr. Perry has performed extensive design work in structural engineering for a variety of clientele and project purposes. His practice has included projects of varying scales of magnitude, ranging from small one-off and renovation/retrofitting projects to large commercial and industrial ventures, most of which have been multidiscipline and have required extensive coordination with other engineers, architects, and project managers. He has also successfully served as a lead engineer, guiding and shepherding teams of less-experienced structural engineers and enabling those teams to thrive. Due to these successes, Mr. Perry has progressively advanced to roles of increased leadership and management.
Mr. Perry’s practice has notably included, but has not been limited to, the design of large-scale structural steel, concrete foundation systems, specialized concrete structures, timber, cold-formed steel, and masonry. This work has been performed for private and government (federal and state) customers. He has navigated many projects for customers within the wood products industry, chemical industry, manufacturing, public and private education, medical facilities, critical infrastructure, religious facilities, and countless other lines of business. His career has been bolstered through effective communication and management skills, in addition to an attention to detail that ensures design efficacy without a detriment to efficiency.
Additionally, Mr. Perry has conducted inspections for building structures, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure (bridges, etc.), including some forensic inspections to aid with the determinacy of the causes of failures and issues with structural systems. He has also observed construction for large-scale projects to ensure that critical design details and features were followed and constructed as required by the designer of record. Beyond just drawings and plans, he is familiar with the generation of project specifications and the enforcement of entity-specific governing requirements (code compliance, OSHA, etc.).
Josh is a proud Arkansas native and lives in the Cabot area. When Josh arrives home from work, he is greeted by his wife, JoAnna, and their three French Bulldogs (Tulip, Winston, and Leo). He is an avid car fanatic and enjoys weekend cruising in his Camaro SS when he is not working on a DIY project around the house or shop. Cycling is his exercise of choice, road and mountain biking alike, and he always strives to have the best-looking lawn between his and those of his neighbors, an unspoken and friendly competition!
