Board of Directors

Mr. Harrison has nearly 50 years of experience in managing engineering projects, including initial design, scheduling, and construction management. He has managed numerous multi-million dollar projects as the lead engineer and project manager. Projects have included wastewater treatment, logistics and site development and process modifications for industries as diverse as pulp and paper, petrochemical, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste treatment, and animal and human food production.

He is an internationally-recognized expert in the use of non-metallic materials, such as specialty resin fiberglass (FRP) and coatings, and has upgraded multiple industrial processes to become more dependable. He is an expert at failure diagnosis in piping and vessels, and has organized multi-disciplined engineering teams to respond to industrial process disasters to manage the process of bringing the plants back on-line promptly, safely and cost-effectively. He provides tank and process system mechanical integrity inspections and testing to prevent system failures and comply with Process Safety Management requirements.

Example Projects:

• Specialty Bulk Waste Feeder Design: Developed method of direct feeding of refinery waste sludge into a Calciner Incinerator for the purposes of destruction and energy reclamation.

• Fuel Blending Operation Upgrade: Completed assessments and upgrades to an existing fuel blending operation to improve safety, productivity, environmental controls and production.

• Pipeline Design: Designed, specified, and inspected pipeline installation for potable water and natural gas transmission.

• API-650 Tank Failure Analysis/Repair: Investigated the failure of a frangible roof on two API-650 tanks in biomass service. Developed repair procedures and protocol, and supervised the repairs for return to service.

• Machine Design: Designed multiple machines and processing equipment modifications for a plastic reclamation and manufacturing facility.

• Hazardous Waste Incineration/ MACT Air Pollution Control: Project and construction manager for a multi-million dollar incineration process and air pollution control upgrade. The project involved construction of numerous pieces of refractory-lined and specialty equipment, including saturator, condenser, scrubbers, bag-house, neutralization equipment, as well as all ancillaries, instrumentation and controls. There were uniquely challenging situations including historical soil contamination, and abandoned oil refining components.

• Wastewater Treatment: Process development, design, construction, and start-up of a groundwater remediation plant, treating groundwater contaminated by previous refining operations, as well as process and stormwater from the plant site.

• Pet Food Production: Project manager for a major production and warehouse expansion requiring over 50 permits and approvals. Project involved negotiations in the purchase of property, easement and zoning changes, detailed design, construction, and start-up of key air pollution control equipment.

• Hazardous Waste Combustion: Designed/managed construction of multiple process upgrades to increase production and lower costs, including the installation of a unique bulk shredding feeder to the process.

• Pulp Mill/Beach Plant Upgrade: Planned, scheduled and managed multiple engineers and construction crews for replacement, upgrade, or repair of major process equipment at several mills.

• TSD Design & Construction: Responsible for environmental waste site clean-up followed by TSD facility design, permit coordination, and construction management. Treatment processes included fuels blending, lab pack, water treatment, neutralization, stabilization bulking, and storage.

PSM/Mechanical Integrity Inspection: Mechanical/structural integrity inspections and analysis of piping, tanks, vessels, and ancillaries for various industries and manufacturers in multiple states. Failure analysis of FRP and steel vessels, piping, and equipment.
